A 12-year-old Putnam Street boy was injured after being hit by a car on Washington Avenue about 8 45 p m. He suffered a head injury and a possible fractured leg. The driver Earl Weeks Jr of 815 Main St said the boy darted into the street and into his path. Rescue squad rushed him to Putnam Memorial Hospital where he remained in fair condition.
