British Invasion Brightens Broadway Picks This Season
The Broadway season welcomes British imports with strong reviews. Noel Coward’s Hay Fever at Helen Hayes Theatre pleases, Shirley Booth shines, while Sleuth at Music Box earns unanimous praise for Anthony Quayle and Keith Baxter. Home at Morosco, led by John Gielgud and Ralph Richardson, fascinates with its dialogue though not a crowd-pleaser. Norman Wisdom’s Not Now Darling falters despite the comedian.
