New Superintendent Seeks Leadership Across Eight Towns
Neil E. Cross 34, newly named superintendent of the Bennington-Rutland Supervisory Union, says educational inadequacies exist but are met with apathetic citizenry. He praises Danby Mount Tabor union planning, Dorset kindergarten studies, and especially Pawlet School Board leadership, as he plans to address overcrowding and expand programs at Burr and Burton Seminary. Time is tight. Cross stresses need for active local support to improve facilities, curriculum, and vocational offerings across eight towns.
