Bridge swap funds pond dredge in Manchester center
Pinello Engineering Bridge Construction Co president Tom Pinello is widening Route 11 30 near the Battenkill Center Bridge and dredging the Battenkill pond. The swap with town officials covers dredging in lieu of a new bridge costing about $300. Work includes a widened road, new sidewalks, guard rails, and traffic light upgrades. The project, set to finish this week on the bridge and surrounding improvements, will allow two traffic lanes and safer access to the post office and town services.
