Dorset piggery dispute prompts zoning board ruling
After three hearings the Dorset Zoning Board of Adjustment voided Everett Day’s accessory farm building permit in the Commercial Industrial district. The Erdmans and Erdman’s Eyrie, Inc. appealed. The pig shelter’s legality hinges on whether pig farming fits Dorset’s farming uses and whether the site required a plan, per legal counsel Partridge.
