Nursing home operators to attend HEW workshops
One hundred owners and administrators of long term care facilities in Vermont are invited to a December 13 program at the New England Rehabilitation Center in Woburn Massachusetts to discuss a Department of Health Education and Welfare plan for free instruction during the coming year to upgrade professional care. HEW will pay tuition for three week programs for workers in nursing homes hospitals or facilities for the disabled. the pilot project could extend for three years if successful. The event features a national and local official program and tours of the center, the first nationally accredited rehabilitation center in the commonwealth. The December 13 program is part of a wider effort to upgrade care across New England facilities.
