Grand Jury Hears Testimony On Girl Death in Berkshire

A Berkshire County grand jury in Pittsfield heard testimony in the case of 19 year old Bonnie Pearson of Newport New Hampshire whose body was found Aug. 20 badly beaten in a Williamstown garage. Bruce McConnell 21 of North Adams is charged with murder. The grand jury sat in special session and heard instructions from Judge Thomas O Malley. A dozen of 33 summoned witnesses testified and proceedings may run through Friday. George McConnell of North Adams father of the defendant testified Wednesday.
