Grand List review aims to reduce second appeals in Vermont towns
Listers plan a second review of individual lists to integrate board findings and adjust assessments. Some owners who did not appeal may now do so, while others may challenge previously low valuations. The 1966 abstract reflects a major reappraisal, a factor in a Bennington suit challenging the Grand List filing. The case hinged on a late extension and timing issues, with officials aiming to complete remedial steps by February 15.
