Radio Television Evangelists Expand Global Mission Outreach
Diversification in foreign mission work is aided by electronics as radio stations run by church groups broadcast worldwide. RAVEMCCO coordinates training and broadcasting, with six stations abroad and two new ones soon in the Philippines and Ethiopia. Television grows fast with Korea and Japan expanding programs. More than a third of Japan homes have TV, while Bangkok and Manila expand sets and services. The Philippine network mixes 62 percent music and news with 24 percent cultural content and 14 percent religious programs.
