Successful Swimmers Take Lake Paran Awards

NORTH BENNINGTON Successful swimming lessons at Lake Paran concluded with 76 young swimmers passing tests across beginners and advanced levels. About 140 participated as Paran Recreations Corp supported the three week program led by Miss Kathleen Torrisi with lifeguards Barbara Riley Bonnie Hanson Betsy Jones and Debbie Crosier. Certificates and pins were distributed by Red Cross secretary Mrs. Walthrude Pierce.

Residential Park Landed FHA Title X Funding in Vermont

Pyramid Inc of Burlington closed the fourth U S FHA Title X loan in the nation for Hill and Vale Residential Park, a 34.1 acre Essex Junction site next to Essex Junction High School. Kenclif Construction won the contract. a $188,000 loan insured by FHS funds the land development with Burlington Savings Bank as mortgagee. The project features underground wiring, sidewalks, lighting, wooded lots, and access to central shopping, the IBM plant, recreation area, and the high school.
