Battle Day Fun Draws Crowds Across Bennington
Hundreds of Bennington residents and visitors enjoyed Battle Day weekend events from Memorial Park games to a fireworks display at the airport. Sunday featured firemen water polo at Oneida Market and a three hour parade along Main, North and Gage streets. Fire departments from Williamsburg, Readsboro, Pownal, White River Junction and others earned top honors in a juried awards list honoring floats, musical units, equipment and distance traveled.
