Medicaid experiment ends in North Carolina contract cancellation
Washington reports North Carolina and Health Application Systems ended their 200 million dollar a year Medicaid cost control contract in mutual termination retroactive to June 30. The move will cost the state and federal government additions to Medicaid payments while claims processing continues for 340 000 recipients until next June. The parties remain committed to the concept despite the setback.
