State Police May Move Headquarters to Waterbury Hospital
The Waterbury Times cites unnamed government sources that Gov. Snelling is weighing relocating the state police main office to vacant space at Waterbury State Hospital. Officials near the governor reportedly prefer housing the Development or Transportation Agency there, with the 1977 legislature directing some departments move but leaving final transfer decisions to the governor. The hospital could also host field offices for the state police or the Highway Department.
