Bennington Water Dept Faces Possible Federal Grant Rejection
A consulting engineer warned that Bennington Water Department's bid for federal funds to expand the water system may be initially rejected due to lacking engineering data. A joint study on area wide water resources is urged as Bennington and North Bennington plan volume expansion and a 2 to 3 million gallon increase from Bickford Hollow and Bolles brooks. The project could cost 400 to 500 thousand dollars with half funded by the federal grant.
