Route 9 Crash Kills Two Bennington Residents
Two Bennington residents died in a Route 9 crash near the New York border when a 1965 Mercury left the road and rolled over multiple times. Alfred T. Lesson age 30 died at the scene. Stephen Yarsoz age 34 died at Putnam Memorial Hospital. Police said the crash occurred at 1:44 a.m. and the car was traveling at high speed before failing to navigate a curve. The occupants were thrown from the vehicle. Lesson was reported to have been crushed by the car.
