In a rare Saturday session the Vermont House finalizes a bill requiring Senate advice and consent on state department commissioners not covered by current law. The vote aligns with a broader package including a nuclear plant approvals bill and bicycle path legislation.
Communist forces shelled areas near Saigon early today as a new push shifted toward the Mekong Delta.
