Six Bennington lawmakers split on the Alden Vietnam resolution as the Vermont House passed it 128 to 12. Allen, a former Korea War airman from Okinawa, said there is no halfway in war and noted personal faith as a Quaker. Others voting yes included Rep Joseph Caracciola and Rep Hugh Clark, with Kearns and Wallace absent.
