Bennington Drives Toward Cleaning Junk Cars From Town
Nearly 100 junk cars were moved to the Bennington landfill as selectmen urge a broader drive to remove rusting hulks from yards. They raised the goal to 200 or 300 cars, citing high transport costs and private funding to aid homeowners. A crusher relocation and calls for volunteer groups follow, with cleanup planned on weekends in April.
