Benalla Bands Shine In Beechworth Massed Display

Bright entertain ment lit Beechworth as five visiting bands from Wodonga Yackandandah Yarrawonga Wangaratta and Benalla joined the North Eastern Brass Bands Association. After the afternoon event the groups paraded down the main street and performed in the Gardens before a crowded crowd. Benalla bandsmen thanked Beechworth for warm hospitality.

Marriage of Suffield and Cook in Benalla and Melbourne

The bridegroom was supported by best man Max Suffield and groomsman Jack Tavendale with ushers Jin Scott and Fred Piper. The register was signed to Handel’s Where Ere Walk. Guests sent telegrams including one from Dick Spencer of Manila. The couple honeymooned in Melbourne and left for Numurkah to reside with Mrs. Suffield and family.
