Fires damage parade float and garage in Bemidji area
Two fires Wednesday in Bemidji caused major property loss with no injuries. Firefighters responded at 10:35 a.m. to Diamond Point near Bemidji State College where a parade float and trailer owned by the Bemidji Area Chamber of Commerce were heavily damaged. At 12:32 p.m. a garage and shed by the Cut-Rite Service station in Nymore burned down. Cause suspected as children playing with matches. Also credit to hospital birth: a son born to Mr. and Mrs. Danny Monson of Bemidji on Wednesday, Nov. 14.

Beltrami Fair Board Secretary Leon Johnson reports most preparations are complete for the 1964 Beltrami County Fair. Three Injured In Buick Collision At Bemidji
Three people were treated at Bemidji Hospital after a collision at 26th Street and Bemidji Avenue about 9 15 p m.
