Skaters Prepare for Winter Program and New Ice Facility
Two pros Kathy Rutledge and Inger Melander oversee Bemidji winter skating clinics and private lessons as skaters advance through bronze to gold in figure, free skating and dance. The season runs Oct 15 to Apr 15 with nearly 600 participants. A $120,000 Neilson Foundation grant funds a new 120 by 250 foot rink at Second Street South and Pershing Avenue in Nymore, due Dec 1, with a hoped mid December grand opening, expanding Bemidji to three indoor arenas.
