Beaver nine struggles through another year
Bemidji Beavers end season 11-20 in NIC race, another under-.500 year for a team built from walk ons. The squad faced weather losses, weak offense hitting .227, and defensive lapses while young pitchers showed promise. Graduation will thin the lineup, prompting a major recruiting push for 1973 with Klancher and Nic Dressen named co captains.
