AMA criticized for health care battle

The AMA faced sharp criticism at its annual convention in St Paul from ACA official Dr Hoyt B Duke of Augusta Georgia who accused the group of opposing progress in national health care Medicare and a proposed health insurance plan. He argued the AMA fights every major reform including Medicare and now seeks control over all health services while chiropractors push to have their fees covered by Medicare. Duke noted DEHW and state agencies pressure complicates the fight but said chiropractors will persist to ensure patient choice and access to care.
