Second Community Services Fair in Bemidji Friday

On Friday evening June 7 the second Community Services Fair will take place in downtown Bemidji with booths from over 30 agencies. Nixon to Lead Five Nation Middle East Peace Tour

President Nixon will tour Egypt Saudi Arabia Syria Israel and Jordan from June 12 to 18 to consolidate progress toward peace. He will depart for Salzburg Austria first and be accompanied by Mrs Nixon and Secretary Kissinger as impeachment pressures loom at home.

DFL Chairman Forecasts Big Victory and Convention Plans

DFL State Chairman Hank Fischer said in Bemidji that he expects an overwhelming state victory this fall and described the party platform and farm and housing programs. He outlined convention preparations in Minneapolis and noted potential debate over the platform. Fischer also touted the Dollars for Democrats Drive running June 10 to 28 aiming to raise over $200,000 from 25,000 Minnesotans.
