Fruhlingsfest Celebrates German Culture at Bemidji State
The Bemidji State German Department hosts Fruhlingsfest at Val Chatel with a German supper and music. Participants from Karlstad, Kelliher, Cass Lake join in German songs and translated American tunes. BSC students perform Schuhplattler in traditional dress as the festival theme centers on the Munich 1972 Olympics. Wayne Wold sings, and schools from nearby areas attend the spring celebration.
