Free-spirited glider pilot takes to Bagley skies
John Hanauer, former Cornell counsellor turned songwriter, now flies motorless gliders at Bagley Airport with wife Jan and two children. He hopes to teach others, using two gliders and a Cessna 170 tow plane piloted by Gene Ottison, while neighbors recount the awe of silent swishing flights seen by over 50 spectators.
