Bemidji Firemen Respond to Two Blazes Within Minutes
Bemidji fire crews battled two fires within twelve minutes. At 5:52 p.m. a blaze in the NuPly Corporation press area caused minor damage to the plant’s second and third floors, with crews on site about two hours. At 6:04 p.m. a garage fire at the Bud Woodard residence in Eckles Township, four miles west of Bemidji on Highway 2, required about three hours of effort under Rural Fire Protection Association contract.
