Otter all terrain vehicle challenges Minnesota marshes
Andrew Wells of Bemidji State College unveils the Otter, a 1100 pound amphibious vehicle with two 16 inch tracks and a steering wheel control. It reaches 10 mph on land and 2 mph on water with a zero turning radius and can carry four passengers and 400 pounds of gear. Wells tests show it climbs over 50 degree slopes and traverses mud where others sink.
