Mrs. E. E. Hyde of Friendship houses a cabinet of shells from pin head to half bushel, plus a vast mineral and geological collection. The display includes sub marine cable fragments, Charter Oak pieces, Gov. Stuyvesant’s pear tree relic, Chinese bugs, tiger's eye, sea urchins, star fish, marine life, arrow heads, ship fragments from the Alabama and Thetis, Fort Chombly stone, Washington Monument fragment, and papers from April 18 1775. Visitors may view the collection, which grew from a thunder storm in March 1986.
