Statement on Parnell manifesto and Irish policy
John Morley corrects statements in Mr Parnell manifesto about the land bill and Irish self government. He describes Liberal and Nationalist relations as an independent alliance not fusion and notes discussions on rents, tenants, and Hawarden proposals. In New York Jay Gould rumors about control of the Richmond and Terminal road are denied by Calvin Brice and Gen. Thomas.
