United Press reports a Zeppelin raid over London killed twenty and wounded eighty eight. Dispatches indicate the assault hit the heart of London's hotel district where many Americans resided. Washington notes Americans in London face risk as the city remains fortified and not under American protection.
Judge Eiich horn in Indianapolis today ruled that all veniremen who served as officers in recent elections or directly interested in the results could not serve on the jury. The decision marks a victory for the state as the jury selection swung amid many peremptory challenges and back and forth between prosecution and defense. completion expected by night.
Washington dated Sept 9 a terse dispatch says an Arabic note arrived at the State Department this afternoon outlining a diplomatic development and prompting further study by officials.
