Judge J T McClure of the Public Service Commission heard a case on an overhead bridge over the Southeastern Line at West 16th street west of the city. Chief Engineer Pfafflin and Road Master M J Murphy presented plans. a 275 foot steel structure is anticipated with three quarters of the cost by the railway and one quarter by the county. A slight road adjustment will be needed for a short distance.

Typhoid Fatality Claims Eight Year Old Isamel Mason Daughter
Eight year old Lilian Mason died Wednesday at 6 o clock after several weeks of typhoid at her home on Juth and Hi streets. Funeral services are set for Friday forenoon at 10 conducted by Rev. George Duffey from Judah church. Burial will be at Judah.

Owens petitions for mayor spot denied in city ticket action
Robert M. Owens filed in the Lawrence circuit court a mandamus suit to force Election Commissioners James Stephenson Mee Henry Owen and Henry Pearson to place his name on the City Ticket for Mayor. He alleges qualification and that his October 11 1913 petition was ignored and ballots printed without him. A vacation hearing is requested and set for Monday October 27 1913 before Judge Swalls at Brownstown with the commissioners to appear.
