Murray Foster of Harrison county lies dying at his Heth township home from injuries suffered fifteen years ago when a gang of whitecaps broke into his house in 1890. Mayor J. Hickson Smith officiated his first wedding with Mrs. Smith present. Henry Holburt of Oolitic arranged for the ceremony to unite Helbert and Virgin Paxton. The 7 o clock event started the couple on life together and the couple will live in Oolitic.
Jay B. Sucese of the Monon announces a vacancy for a stenographer trainee at $40 per month, to learn the railroad business. The candidate must be bright, ambitious, of good character, able to take dictation, and trusted to handle routine office work in his absence. Bedford boys are encouraged to apply.
Secretary of the Treasury arrived in Chicago and stated there will be no criminal proceedings over the closures of the Chicago National Bank and Home Savings Bank. He asserted John R. Walsh did not act dishonestly and that rumors of embezzlement are false.
Carl Houston son of Mr and Mrs R C Houston of Marion resigns from his Marion newspaper post due to ill health and travels to Prescott Arizona for the winter He secured a city editor post at a Prescott daily and is well known locally having visited his cousin William K Houston Mrs J W Harvey returns from Wallonia visit.

William Johnson of Pekin sues the Monon Railroad for $10,000 claiming a mail pouch thrown from a passing train struck him, causing the loss of several teeth and a broken thumb. The suit seeks compensatory damages for medical costs and pain.
Governor Hanly seeks Storms resignation amid an Auditors’ committee report alleging misstatements of funds and improper allocations. The controversy centers on July settlements, clerk salaries, court reports payment, and an early availability of a 1905 stenographer appropriation.

Joseph H. Barth of Vincennes announces candidacy for Second district Republican Chairman to succeed John H. Billheimer of Washington, who will run for State Auditor. Other candidates are Will Hays of Sullivan and Charles Henderson of Bloomfield.
William Stickles the hotel owner pursued seven stolen puppies and the bitch after local youths abducted them for holiday money. He tracked the boys to several selling sites, forced refunds for each pup, and reclaimed the dogs with no immediate prosecution.
Neighbors treated L A Keithley of West 14th Street to a surprise party last Thursday after he returned from Orleans where he works in milling. A three course dinner followed and cigars were presented to the honoree. Attendees included J E Boruff Henry Pearson W F Brooks and several others with Mrs Keithley assisted by the ladies.
Mrs. Perlina Ketcham, about 80, fractured left hip when a Bloomfield branch train jerked at Armstrong station. The Monon company settled with her for 2000 to cover medical expenses and injuries. The Clearing House Committee members who inspected the Southern Indiana Railroad and Walsh properties in Indiana returned to Chicago satisfied. Prosecutor Fletcher filed an affidavit in the Circuit Court on Saturday charging Charles Sherman with petit larceny. Sherman, a stranger in the city, was arrested for robbing the Grimes saloon last Monday night and has remained in jail since Tuesday.

Edna H Richardson testified of domestic infelicity alleging Elwood Richardson was cruel and called her names after a September quarrel. Ollie Houston testified that his wife Mary proved violent and abusive, with drunken episodes and infidelity affecting their marriage.
Report claims a broad shake up at Bedford Quarries with Ed Massey among those removed. Authorities say Massey resigned voluntarily recently and no management changes are planned.
