The marriage of Singsbee Prow a 21 year old meat cutter and Miss Katherine Sego 19 years old who eloped from Bedford Lawrence county was performed in this city. Jeffersonville item in Louisville Courier Journal.

William P. Malott of Indianapolis and Bedford a former prominent citizen died Thursday at Bay View Michigan at nine o'clock while visiting with his daughter Mrs Harvey Martin He was born February 16 1840 and served in the Civil War with the Twenty first regiment band He led a long career in business and banking before moving to Indianapolis where he owned coal and lime interests A Grand Army of the Republic member and longtime Odd Fellows veteran he was married to Florence Mitchell in 1866 and with her had six children surviving Charles Frank and Mrs Harvey Martin Funeral arrangements will be announced.
B and C Brangh birthday anniversary plans are officially abandoned after August 15. The schedule notes no further regular celebrations.
The Pentecost camp meeting begins tonight in Dunn Grove near the Fairground at Lincoln and Fifth streets. Former servicemen may obtain second enlistment pay. He remains at the post office for about five days. Police Court Stanley Torphy arrested for illegal possession of liquor alleged incident around July 10.
Bedford residents Jennings B. Henderson and Lora M. Clark obtained a marriage license. The standers include Mrs. Kennedy of Indianapolis visiting sick mother Mrs. Grant, who fell ill during a visit to her daughter Mrs. Will Walls. Other locals and travelers are noted in brief society items.
Four paroled convicts Harry Burrell William C Allen Frank F Cook and N C Price escaped from Jackson County Jail early Monday morning and remain at large. Authorities suspect an automobile aided their escape and fear they will avoid the area for some time. Local observers believe at least two are part of an ongoing gang.
A new stone sidewalk project begins on J street from 10th to 13th. The first section runs along Engineer Jas McMann property from 10th street south of the Southeastern tracks toward 13th street, promising a popular northbound route.
Two men burglarized a French Lick drug store stealing about 125 dollars. They stole a car sold to Curt Bass in Bedford, rode trains, and fled across several states stealing a motorcycle in Indiana and another in Ohio before being captured in Columbus, Ohio. They are jailed at Paoli Mitchell Commercial.
A hawk about 52 inches from tip to tip was fatally harmed by John Wray on a farm five miles east of Bedford on Wednesday. Wray struck the hawk with a public safety item amid unclear surrounding details.
