Funeral services were held for Herman Holben 42 longtime manager of the Olympic Theatre at Arnold Funeral Home. He died Friday evening at University Hospital Iowa City after a brief illness leaving a wife son Gene and parents Mr and Mrs Fred Holden Lenox with two sisters in California and Des Moines Burial took place at Fairview Cemetery Lenox A broadcast program by Rev H A Orr and the United Presbyterian Choir aired thirty minutes on KFNF Shenandoah Sunday afternoon Two Lenox boys earned degrees from the State University

Frank Brown of Woodward visited his parents Mr and Mrs Charles Brown over the weekend. Several families spent weekends with relatives in Missouri Valley Bedford and Wathena Kansas. The Register and Tribune Carrier Convention in Des Moines drew Mr and Mrs Doyle Kent and others.
