Hankins Sarchette are Wed in Redfield Iowa
Regina R. Sarchette daughter of Bert and Mrs Sarchette Redfield Iowa married Kenneth J Hankins son of James and Mrs Hankins New Market Iowa on May 30 at the Redfield Methodist Church. The double ring ceremony was conducted by Rev Strode with attendants Arlene Hawkins and Duane Sarchette. The bride wore navy blue and white, groom oxford gray. She taught at Iowa State Teachers College Cedar Falls and in New Market schools for three years. He is a New Market High School 27 graduate now in business. A reception followed at the bride’s parents home with 25 family and friends present. They plan a short southern Missouri wedding trip and will reside in New Market. Maurice Hanson Mrs Hankins and Arlene of New Market attended.

Funeral Notice for A H Jones in Oklahoma
A H Jones 46 died in Erick Oklahoma on May 30 and his funeral was held June 3 at the Church of Christ in New Market. Rev Ray Snodgrass of Wichita preached. Burial followed in Memory Cemetery. He was born November 26 1888 in Allerton Iowa and lived with his family in New Market before moving to Erick in 1923. He survived by his father, five brothers, four sisters, and two children Delores and a surviving spouse. Special revival services will be held at the Mennonite church starting June 11 conducted by Rev J A Beery and Rev Overholt.

Foot injury on Lou Cundy farm prompts x rays
Homer Nickle fell on a riddle at the Lou Cundy farm home injuring his foot. He was taken to Bedford for an x ray and later to Maryville for fluoroscope examination. Part of the needle was found embedded in his foot.
