A livestock judging contest will be held during Farm and Home Week on Friday February 17 1939 at 9 a.m. County teams of three bona fide farm operators may enter. Junior boys will attend lectures on livestock production horticulture plant growth and the dairy industry. Five broadcasts on the 4 H Boys Short Course and Convention at Iowa State College December 27 to 29 will be carried by WOT the college radio station reports County Agent Hubert Davie. Convention broadcasts will air daily Tuesday through Thursday from 12 25 to 12 35 and half hour programs Tuesday and Wednesday from 2 30 to 3 00 p.m. Mr and Mrs N O Hickelkooper were guests of Mr and Mrs A S Willson at Bedford Sunday. Mrs O K Strike of Pleasanton and children went home for a few days then return to be with her ill mother Mrs Cora Wilson. Marie Ogle and Roberta Ostrander of Maryville arrived home today for the holidays.
