Mohlers Set 50th Wedding Anniversary in Bedford

Mr and Mrs W A Mohler of Bedford plan their golden wedding on Christmas Day with visitors from 3 to 5 PM. The couple share birthdays on the same date and will reach ages 90 and 37 respectively next year. Their daughter Wilma Long and grandchildren Barbara and Billy of Menlo Park California will spend the holidays here. Lenox Farmer Dies in Clover Seed Combine Accident

Lenox farmer Luther Lofgren, 69, died Saturday afternoon after a combine wheel crushed his chest during clover seed harvest. He and his son Robert were operating the machine. Funeral services were held at Arnold Funeral Home Lenox with Rev. Merwin Coad. reg war services at Lutheran church Red Oak. burial in Red Oak Evergreen cemetery. The Lofgren family moved from Red Oak to Lenox two years ago.

Major E M Stimson, serving with forces in Korea, was wounded and taken to a hospital in Japan per his aunt Miss Margaret Stimson, Conway. Omaha Land Bank Declares Special Dividend to Cooperatives

A special dividend of 1,628,203 was paid Friday by the Federal Land Bank of Omaha to 188 cooperative National Farm Loan associations across Iowa Nebraska South Dakota and Wyoming. About 36 590 farmers stockmen will share. most funds go to member dividends with the rest boosting reserves. The four-state distribution includes Iowa 810 062 Nebraska 457 958 South Dakota 283 978 and Wyoming 76 205.
