Christmas Tree Planned by New Market Legion and Merchants
The American Legion and town merchants held their regular meeting in the Legion Hall with about 25 attendees. They approved plans for a community Christmas tree on Christmas Eve and formed an executive and finance committee led by Paul Clark Charles Wilson and H E Jennings to arrange details. Refreshments followed the meeting.

Obituary: S L Wineinger 79 Dies at Home South of New Market
S L Wineinger, 79, died suddenly at his home south of New Market Sunday afternoon. Funeral services were held at the Christian Church in New Market. Survived by three daughters and one son: Nellie Farrel and Jesse Neely of New Market, Ethel Wise of Missouri, and Frank Wineinger of Omaha.
