Nancy Barks Celebrates 89th Birthday in Sheridan

Mrs. Nancy Jane Barks marked her eighty ninth birthday Saturday November 13 at her daughter Mrs. W E Caldwell’s home. Red Cross Replaces Farm Family Losses

The Red Cross provided agricultural rehabilitation to 10,116 farm families including feed seed livestock tools and machinery costing over 599000 dollars. Rural families affected by flood waters were rescued clothed fed and sheltered while out-buildings barns and other structures were repaired or rebuilt. Medical care nursing and home refurnishing were also provided.

Last year the Red Cross introduced an accident checkout to 7 000 000 American homes and urged householders to inspect hazards themselves. A similar home accident prevention program is being conducted this year.
