Obituary notes Robert Dean Moore born August 24 1923 Gravity Iowa died May 8 1944 at age 20 8 14 years. He served in Italy and was killed at Anzio Beachhead. He leaves parents sibling and grandparents. George Locke 52 of Upton Wyoming died recently at a Hot Springs sanitarium after World War I military service. Survived by widow Helen and five children. Burial at Greenwood cemetery in Upton with post in charge.

Picnic Honors Canadian Guests and Posten Reunion
A Gravity Iowa picnic on Sunday August 8 honored guests from Bashaw Canada and marked the first Iowa visit in 30 years for Mr and Mrs Mark White. The event drew numerous locals including the Beemers Sturm Lucas McColm and others. The Posten family reunion followed on August 1 at Gravity Park with many relatives from Gravity Villisca Clearfield Arlington and Corning among attendees. The reunion will return next August to Corning Park.
