A proclamation addresses the people of Iowa announcing the State Fair will run from August 24 to September 2. It promises the greatest display of agricultural, industrial, scientific, artistic, and literary achievements for public entertainment and instruction.
The speaker extols the fair as a pinnacle of educational achievement and a common asset of all Iowans. He urges every citizen to visit the exhibition, support its progress, and take pride in Iowa’s institutions, asserting that the state offers the best of all good things.

Lester seeks to establish ownership rights and a vendor's lien on extensive tracts described as government lots in sections eight nine and related quarters in township 67 north range 33 west. Defendants Lloyd Turner and others are named with unknown claimants. the suit seeks title confirmation and sale to satisfy a $600 vendor's lien plus interest and costs.
