Two Brown Heads by a Brook in a Beaverville Pair
A nostalgic poem by Margaret Vetne recounts Katy Lee and Wallis Grey as children by a silver brook with willows. It follows their playful exchange and a promise about carrying burdens, then shifts to years later when Katy lives with Wallie Grey in a cottage by the same brook, altered by time.
