Open cockpit flight at Wings Over Houston inspires personal love of flying
Baytown Sun reporter Jane Howard Lee recounts her open cockpit ride in a 1940s Fairchild PT-19 at Ellington Field during media day for Wings Over Houston. The 30 minute flight over Clear Lake and Kemah, piloted by Gale Haskins, captured the thrill of flying beyond ordinary air travel, paralleling stories of WASP pilot Barbara Heinrich and vintage aircraft in the airshow lineup. The event runs October 23-24 with tickets via wingsoverhouston.com or Kroger stores.

A religious quotation contrasts those who do evil fearing exposure with those who live by the truth seeking the light. It asserts deeds revealed as done through God and promotes moral transparency.
