Chemistry and engineering major Zach Holt finds Lamar life
Baytown native Zach Holt, class of 2012 Ross Sterling, chose Lamar University for its strong engineering program and national ranking. He earned the McMaster Honors Scholarship and the Don M. Lyle Regents’ Scholarship in engineering and plans for medical school, researching brain science, and studying abroad in Germany. Holt engages in campus activities, serves as Lamar Ambassador, leads the Honors Student Association, and works at Outdoor Pursuits on the rock wall. He travels to Nicaragua with VIDA this December to provide medical care and train in bilingual medicine.
