Highlands Jamboree set for weekend at Highlands Elementary
The 55th Highlands Lynchburg Chamber of Commerce Annual Jamboree unfolds Saturday at Highlands Elementary 200 E Wallisville Rd with a car show, 5K run, pageants at 11 45 a m and a parade lineup starting 9 a m at Hopper Primary. The event features driving races and a pageant lineup including Miss Highlands and Jr Miss Highlands.

Heritage Society hosts reception for mural restoration
The Bay Area Heritage Society will host a 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday reception at the Baytown Historical Museum to celebrate the mural restoration and honor donors. Chambers budget funds new 911 center and raises
