Baytown police report wave of thefts and incidents
Witnesses say two suspects stole a lawn mower from a home on East Homan about 6 15 p m Tuesday driving away in a newer silver Lincoln Town Car. A separate assault on Massey Tompkins was investigated with no arrests after both sides declined charges. Other burglaries and thefts include a $3 400 loss of home goods on Superior Street, a $235 city property theft on Hines Avenue, a $1 000 loss for a U Haul tow dolly, and multiple vehicle break ins at a gym and a hospital. Baytown logged 53 offense reports over Tuesday to Wednesday mornings, including a homicide and 17 miscellaneous cases, with seven traffic accidents and two injuries.
