Baytown Opens Park and Ride Linking Mall to City
Baytown unveils its first park and ride Baytown Express with a 3.5 dollar fare and METRO service in a joint Harris County effort funded by 1.7 million federal dollars a 124 020 grant and a Galveston council grant. The October 1 preview showed officials praising the venture as a cleaner transport option and a boost for Lee College students shoppers and commuters. Inaugural rides are free October 1 through October 5 with later trips running weekdays from 6 06 to 7 21 a m and 4 10 to 6 05 p m.
