Second man arrested in Baytown slaying turns up capital murder

Harris County Sheriff's deputies arrested Ollie Lee Ford Jr for capital murder at about 2:30 p.m. Tuesday and Chris Lee Crow, 31, for capital murder Friday. Both men are jailed without bond. Crow and Mixon reportedly argued over money at Crow's Massey Tompkins Road home, Crow struck Mixon with a barbell and stabbed him, then the body was dumped into Highlands canal. Mixon’s body was found by Coastal Water Authority workers. Police say the killing is drug related.

Woman arrested after driving into Houston Ship Channel

Randi Leigh-Jeannette, a 23 year old Houston woman, was arrested for possession of marijuana after driving her maroon vehicle off the Lynchburg Ferry landing into the Houston Ship Channel. Almost five pounds of marijuana valued at about 4500 dollars were found in the vehicle. She escaped the vehicle, returned about 90 minutes later after her mother informed deputies, and failed a sobriety test. she was released on 500 dollar bond.
