A two-year-old boy, Steven Fuller Austin Jr., was hit by a pickup truck on a Maryland street and left injured. Police seek the driver of a gray 154 Chevrolet witness claimed struck the child and fled, with details and descriptions still sought by investigators.
Baytown police chief Montgomery said investigators have to restart the Martinez murder case with no solid leads. A Galveston couple and a Baytown woman were questioned and released. a Baytown man who knew Martinez for two hours remains held. Autopsy found a back head wound and two unhealed needle marks. Martinez was last seen Sunday with a man in bars. Police seek more tips from witnesses who saw Martinez on Spur 201 and near Airhart Drive.
